My mom and I made this delicious pizza this past weekend. It was so simple and really hit the spot.
- pre made pizza dough
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 16oz can crushed tomatoes
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- sliced button mushrroms
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 tbs chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- salt and pep to taste
- kalamata olives
- sliced fresh mozzarella cheese (as much or as little as you’d like)
Preheat oven to 425. Heat 2 tbs of olive oil in a pan and saute mushrooms until they begin to breakdown. Add tomatoes, garlic, wine, peppers and salt. Simmer on low for about 20 minutes. Add remaining oil and basil.
Brush pizza stone with olive oil. Spread your dough over the stone. Top with tomato sauce, cheese, and olives. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the crust is golden brown.
Anyone know where I can get a good pizza stone? The one I used to make this pizza is at my parents house and I’d like one for my apartment.
